Looking Ahead to 2017

Make your 2017 resolutions last all year! Learn how you can improve your health for the coming year.

Do you want to start 2017 off right? Adding wellness goals to your everyday life can improve your overall health. Think about the changes you made in 2016 that worked well, and incorporate some additional goals in the coming year.

There are six basic areas of wellness, which include:

  • Physical health
  • Mental health
  • Emotional health
  • Spiritual health
  • Social health
  • Environmental health

Over the next few weeks, think through these areas of wellness and how you can improve upon each one. Create simple and easy goals that will make you feel like the best version of you! Below are some examples of wellness goals for each area of health to help get you started:

Physical Health

  • Park farther when grocery shopping, at work, etc.
  • Exercise regularly as directed by your doctor

Mental Health

  • Seek help from a professional if you feel you need it

Environmental Health

  • Make sure to spend time outdoors everyday

Emotional Health

  • Unplug from all electronics at least 1x per day

Spiritual Health

  • Join a club or group that makes you feel a part of something bigger than yourself

Social Health

  • Spend time with friends and family
