"On The Road" Auto Relief Grant Program

Our Heritage Toyota Catonsville dealership recently partnered with Ellicott City to help those impacted by the devastating flood.
Heritage Toyota Catonsville and the Ellicott City Partnership have joined together to provide financial support to residents, business owners and permanent employees of businesses located within the Ellicott City historic district who lost their vehicles in the July 30th flood.
During the flood on July 30, 2016, Ellicott City experienced six inches of rain in a two-hour time period. According to Howard County Executive, Allan Kittleman, the amount of rainfall was equivalent to a month’s worth of rain. Howard County Police Chief, Gary Gardner, indicated that more than 170 cars were damaged by the flood. Ellicott City and Catonsville are neighboring communities, so our Marketing team worked with Heritage Toyota Catonsville to support those in need.
“On the Road,” a relief program funded by our Heritage Toyota Catonsville store, was launched earlier this month to help those affected by the storm; specifically, residents, business owners and permanent employees who lost their vehicles. Our Heritage Toyota Catonsville store donated $50,000 to the Ellicott City rebuild in the form of the “On the Road” relief grant program.
In order to be eligible to receive a grant from the relief program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Rent or own property within the boundaries of historic Ellicott City OR be a business owner or permanent employee of a business location in historic Ellicott City.
- Have a car that was damaged in the July 30th flood and was declared a total loss.
Ellicott City is still recovering from the flood, but we are proud to participate in the rebuilding efforts. Thank you to all employees who have helped with our commitment to Ellicott City and its residents.
