Corporate's New Addition

Give a warm welcome to Amy Rutch, Corporate's new Executive Assistant to Steve Fader.
We’d like to give a warm welcome to Amy Rutch, who recently joined the MileOne Corporate team. Amy, who started in September, is the Executive Assistant to Steve Fader. She comes into this role with a broad background in marketing and communications, human resources, office management and executive support.
Amy’s impressive background and experience stems from her time at Smiths Group, plc. where she worked in their global IT group as the Communications Support Lead. Prior to working at Smiths, Amy spent nine years at Campbell & Company, Inc., an investment management firm in Baltimore, as the HR Administrator and Office Manager.
In her short time here, Amy has fit right in.
“Everyone has a positive and friendly attitude,” Amy said. “As a new employee, all the employees I have met have been very welcoming and willing to answer any and all questions.”
On your day off, what could we find you doing?
Hanging out with my little people – Maddie (11) and Benjamin (3) – playing outside, taking walks, exploring the woods near our house or playing board games.
If you could have dinner with anyone in history who would it be and why?
Julia Child. Everyone knows her as a chef, but there is so much more to her and her life. I find her life experiences fascinating.
What motto do you live by?
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
Favorite vacation spot?
For relaxation, I’d say Northern Neck in Virginia. Nothing is more relaxing to me than sitting outside overlooking the water (or the Rivah as they call it there). For family fun (no relaxing), we love to visit Disney World and all of its chaos.
