In It to Win It

Hall’s new General Manager of Virginia Beach Mazda is competitive and motivated to be the very best.

The new General Manager of Virginia Beach Mazda, Austin Dombrowski, started selling cars for BMW in Richmond, VA when he was just 19 years old. His journey into the car business is a unique story that highlights Austin’s competitive drive.

“I was a waiter at a steakhouse when a group of managers, including a GM from BMW came in for dinner,” Austin said. “Seeing an opportunity to make a great tip from these guys, I convinced them to turn over their menus, and let me order everything for them! After all, I worked there and knew the best choices. They agreed, and had a terrific (and expensive) meal; I earned a great tip and a job offer…the rest is history.”

Austin was consistently one of the top three producers at his store, and was quickly promoted into finance. After 12 years with BMW, he left as the General Sales Manager to become the GSM of the largest Ford dealership in Richmond. In August, Austin started with Hall and has already made an incredible impression.

“During my first month here, Virginia Beach Mazda just happened to set the all-time New Vehicle sales record, becoming number one in our district and growing our net by 330% year over year. I’m pretty excited about that…and as you can probably tell – I’m extremely competitive.”
