Product knowledge, dedication and expertise just landed Melissa Cole her second award from Volkswagen's RQC.
Congratulations to Melissa Cole, Sales Associate at Heritage VW Parkville, on placing 2nd in Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles at Volkswagen’s 2016 Retail Qualification Championship (RQC).
Melissa, who has participated in the RQC competition in the past, started the process back in May by taking online assessments to test her knowledge. At the start of the program, 7,200 people from around the country participated from various areas of the business. Melissa excelled during the online testing portion, and qualified to move onto the next round.
In September, she submitted a video of herself demonstrating different selling scenarios as requested. Melissa’s goal was to sell a nurse a preowned car that fit her lifestyle and desired amenities. This segment of the competition took the 7,200 down to only 60 participants – 12 representatives from each job role.
Melissa again made the cut and was invited to attend the RQC in Florida to compete for the top spot. While at the championship, she went through two days of testing and group activities to demonstrate work ability, as well as product knowledge. Melissa earned 2nd place in the certified pre-owned vehicles category – her knowledge, dedication, expertise and customer experience skills are just a few reasons why she excelled throughout the competition.
“I take great pride in my job and my customer service, and feel that my product knowledge lends itself to my performance and happy customers,” Melissa said. “To be recognized as one of the top three in the country for my knowledge and ability to emulate the VW Vow – the way they want their products sold – makes me extremely proud.”
Melissa is a second-time RQC winner, placing 3rd in New Cars in 2015.
