Houshyar Karimabadi is pulling out all the tricks to build the best business intelligence system.

The Senior Director of Marketing & Business Intelligence, Houshyar Karimabadi, has officially reached his four month mark with MileOne. Known as Hoosh to his colleagues, he’s been ambitious in his short time here, working with our dealerships to improve our prospect and customer communications architecture and workflows, as well as build a business intelligence capability.

Hoosh has an impressive background that includes being a SOBEL scholar at NIH, and has obtained certifications in areas such as email, digital marketing and social media, but what he’s most proud of are the certificates he wins at home.

“World’s Greatest Dad is a great honor to receive from my kids on my birthday and Father’s Day,” Hoosh said. “But, somehow that certificate always expires after one day!”

What advice would you share with colleagues?
 
Multi-tasking isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Instead of trying to do 10 things at once, learn to prioritize better. We aren’t designed to do more than one thing at a time well, so pick one thing and run with it.

On your day off, what could we find you doing?
Spending time with my family and friends; playing soccer, basketball or football. I’m also involved in community service activities with my youth group, and recently traveled to Georgia to help build new homes with Habit for Humanity.

What would you do with a million dollars?
Assuming this is post-tax (a million doesn’t go as far as it used to), I would start off with the usual stuff – pay off the mortgage, put away for kids’ college and weddings. I’d also like to start a charity to help those who are homeless get back on their feet – I already have the business plan!
