Automotive Aficionado

You could say that one of Hall’s newest General Managers was born for this position.

The new General Manager of Hall Ford Lincoln in Newport News, Jeff Meyer, grew up watching his father work at the local Mazda dealership. Fast forward several years, and Jeff and both his brothers have gone on to work in the automotive business.

“I’ve been associated with Ford and Lincoln for the past 13 years as a GM, and I have been working in the automotive industry for 25 years,” Jeff said.

Married to his high school sweetheart of 25 years, Jeff has three children and is an avid sports fan. Jeff also served eight years in the United States Navy, and achieved Aviation Warfare Specialist designation, two Navy Achievement Medals, as well as Sailor of the Year for Naval Station Alameda.

On your day off, what could we find you doing?
I’m a huge sports fan – football, hockey, baseball and basketball – so you might find me watching a game or two. Growing up in Colorado, I’m a big Broncos, Avalanche, Rockies and Nuggets fan.

I’m also active in my community. I’ve served as a foster parent, and youth softball, baseball and basketball coach. I’m a member of the Knights of Columbus, as well as other professional groups, like the American Legion.

Favorite vacation spot or activity?
I love to camp and boat, and spend most of my weekends with my wife and kids.
