Frank Hoon
Hired this past March, MileOne’s new Director of Facilities is also a part-time world traveler. Discover some of the great destinations he’s visited recently.
Frank Hoon is no amateur when it comes to facility management. Hired as the Director of Facilities by MileOne in March, Frank got his start in the industry working as a facilities manager for a local school district almost 15 years ago. He then served as a senior facility manager for a large commercial real estate firm and later worked as an energy sales executive at an energy firm, managing projects valued from $100,000 to $3 million.
Before getting his start in facility management, Frank earned degrees in computer science and business administration from Penn State, and received an MBA from Lebanon Valley College. He then sharpened his skills in other areas as he worked in HVAC, carpentry, concrete and plumbing.
Frank’s résumé is lengthy — but it pales in comparison to the list of incredible places Frank and his wife, Kelly, have visited. Frank and Kelly take at least one 10-day trip a year. To date, they have visited Yellowstone National Park, Yosemite National Park, the Grand Canyon, Ireland, Nova Scotia and the Bahamas, among other exotic locales.
When Frank isn’t working or traveling, he enjoys spending time with his five children and five grandchildren. He’s even teaching his grandchildren one of his favorite hobbies — riding a Harley-Davidson.
