John Lutz

A veteran of the auto industry for 58 years, learn how this MotorWorld warehouse employee has brought his family into the fold.

As a high school graduate in 1957, John Lutz got his start in the automotive industry as a parts runner with David Ertley, Inc. and quickly ascended the ranks, working as a parts assistant and then as the parts manager after the retirement of his former supervisor.

When David Ertley was consolidated into MotorWorld, John was promoted to parts representative and moved from Kingston, PA to Wilkes-Barre, PA. After a brief “retirement,” he returned within the year. He currently is a Stock Clerk working in the MotorWorld warehouse.

But John is not the only one in his family with a passion for the auto industry. His two sons, John Lutz Jr. and Kenney Lutz, also work for MotorWorld – both in the detail department. The three Lutz’s have a combined 110 years with the company. John Jr. has been with MotorWorld for a total of 26 years, while Kenney has been part of the team for 27 years. And while on the topic of longevity, John Sr. has been happily married to his wife Beatrice for 49 years!
