Hall Honda Va. Beach Shop Foreman Wins Honda Top Tech Competition

James Dannels, Hall Honda Virginia Beach Shop Foreman, came in first place in the Hall zone competition for the Honda Top Tech beating out competitors from 118 dealerships! James will be heading to California in January to represent MileOne in the national competition against only 10 other finalists!

James, a master technician, scored in the top 8 scores across his district in an online test, which acts as the preliminary test in the contest. This narrows the national competitor base down from 3,000 competitors and brings the top ranked individuals into the zone competition. The zone competition was comprised of 12 stations where James had to correctly diagnose what was wrong with the vehicle. He was scored not only on knowing the correct diagnosis, but the time frame that he was able to diagnose it in.

I’m anxious about it, but ready to go,” James said. “I’m excited for the bragging rights more than anything, and the chance to go to California.”
