Hall Sponsors Distracted Driving Video Contest

Taking your eyes off the road for five seconds, the average time it takes to look at and respond to a text, is like driving the length of a football field without looking at the road (driving at 55mph). Tabb High School students Malia Rosburg, Hope Matthews and Alisabeth captured the consequences of distracted driving in their video essay, “What If?”. Their winning video essay, submitted for the fifth annual No 2 Distracted Driving campaign, was selected as a finalist from a panel of judges from Cox Media and Hall.

The Hall judges were Lindsey Lindak, Lindsay Baker, Jean Mahon, Bill Baker, George Ransom, Jeremy Harris, Chrissy Champigny and Shari Patish. Each judge gave every video submission a numbered score. Then, the top 4 videos were then voted on by the public. With over 76,000 total votes for the videos, the program generated a lot of interest in the community.
