Heritage Mazda Stores Win Multiple Manufacturer Awards
Mazda Bel Air and Mazda Towson have won the two most prestigious manufacturer awards available to them. Congratulations to both stores for winning the Mazda Gold Cup Award and to Mazda Bel Air on earning a spot in the President’s Club.
Mazda Bel Air is one of the company’s most awarded dealerships. In addition to winning the manufacturer awards this year, they also won DealerRater’s Dealer of the Year and Consumer Satisfaction Award. Since 2004, Bel Air has been a President’s Club winner eight times and has won the Gold Cup six times. These awards make Mazda Bel Air the top ranked Mazda dealership in Maryland.
General Manager of both locations John Holliday commented that “the President’s Club Award is the highest honor that Mazda bestows on its top fifty dealers in the country who go above and beyond in terms of aggressive pricing, customer satisfaction in sales and service, and customer retention. Winning this award six out of the last seven years is truly an amazing feat for a dealer that is pretty isolated in Harford County.”
Mazda Towson has its own impressive list of awards. This is the sixth year Towson has earned the Gold Cup Award and the first time that they have won DealerRater’s Consumer Satisfaction Award.
“When we receive manufacturer awards like this, it’s not happenstance that we also receive Consumer Satisfaction Awards,” John continued. “If you take care of the customers, the awards and recognition will follow. It’s as simple as that.”
Membership into the President’s Club is only given to 50 stores in the country. It recognizes dealers who are leaders in not only selling Mazda vehicles but in building strong bonds with their customers through a culture where the entire dealership team is focused on the customer experience.
Mazda Gold Cup is an exclusive program designed to reward the 125 top-performing dealerships for their focus and commitment in improving customer experience and new vehicle sales.
Congratulations to these stores and their management team on these outstanding accomplishments.
Honda Westminster earns CSE Experience & Fixed First Visit Award
The mission of MileOne Autogroup is to create an unparalleled car buying, ownership and service experience that puts the customer’s needs first and results in a lifetime relationship. The staff at Honda Westminster exemplifies putting the customer’s needs first every day. Honda has recognized this superb dedication to customer service by awarding them with the Customer Service Experience Award for 2017.
To earn this award, the dealership earned a CSE score of 91.3, surpassing the minimum requirement of 91%. They are one of only eight other Honda dealerships in the state to earn this award.
The fixed operations team earned an overall FFV score of 96.9, exceeding the requirements of 95% for earning the Fixed First Visit Award. They were one of 15 Honda dealerships in the state to earn this award.
“I consistently tell my customers and my staff how blessed I am to have the team that I do,” boasted service director Jim Groth. “Day in and day out this team works so hard to go above and beyond for our customers and it shows in not only the CSE scores with Honda, but also in our online presence. The team of advisors and technicians here at Westminster are so talented. This innate talent and dedication to perfection is what caused us to earn both awards this year. I am only as good as my team; I can’t do it without them, and I appreciate what each every one of them do. From the lot attendants, to cashiers, up to my advisors and technicians and my management team they all take great pride in their work. I can’t thank them enough – let’s do it again next year!

Picture General Manager Brad Scammell singing along to "Queen" when the announcement was made that his Heritage Volkswagen Parkville store AND Heritage CDJR Parkville store were Maryland’s #1 top volume store in January? Even if he only sang behind closed doors, it is definitely reason for him and the rest of the Volkswagen and CDJR sales teams to celebrate.
In January, the Volkswagen store sold 72 vehicles and the CDJR store sold 109, making them Maryland’s #1 volume store for their respective brands. This is a tremendous success, and the first time the Volkswagen store has accomplished it. Volkswagen sales associate Melissa Cole was so excited to earn this spot that she reached out to Good Morning Maryland and had the entire sales team introduce the show on Wednesday, February 28 during ABC2's 6 o'clock morning newscast. You can see the video of their introduction here.
Gabriel Walman, Volkswagen Sales Manager, said “for several years our team has been the number one store in the Baltimore region. I am extremely proud of our current team for beating out the D.C Metro area dealers for the first time and finishing as the #1 VW dealer in the state of Maryland. I look forward to a record year in 2018!”
General Sales Manager for CDJR, Chad Edwards, said “it’s nice to know that the long hours and hard work do pay off. We are striving to finish the year at #1 in Maryland and thanks to the wonderful sales staff we have here in Parkville, that should be a very attainable goal.”
Congratulations to both sales teams!
