Make sure you have tissues close by when you read what Russel Automotive did to provide a Christmas “miracle” for one deserving family.

Russel Automotive Collision Center made this Christmas a special one for a family in need. Through the Mason-Dixon Community Services’ Adopt-A-Family program, Russel adopted a family with a mother whose wish was to provide presents for her children this holiday season. The collision center was able to raise more than $400 for the family plus gifts for the kids.

A couple of days before Christmas, the family stopped by the collision center to pick up their gifts. Hardly able to contain their elation, the children opened their presents right at the body shop. At one point, one of the kids unwrapped a set of mechanical pencils, something he had badly wanted but was unable to receive. 

“You would have thought he won the lottery,” Russel Automotive Collision Center General Manager Danny Szarka said.

The kids could not understand why they were receiving so many gifts so the mother replied that it was because they were “special.” The children’s excitement caused many members of the staff to leave the room because they were too emotional. We are so proud that Russel Automotive Collision was able to make this Christmas a memorable one for this family.
