Find out how this dealership helped provide five area kids with a summer they will never forget.

It was Christmas in July for five lucky Baltimore children who are spending five weeks at camp this summer, thanks to Russel Toyota. The Catonsville, Md.-based dealership recently donated $2,500 to SHARPkids, a faith-based afterschool program located in Baltimore’s Sharp-Leadenhall neighborhood.

During the school year, SHARPkids meets every Monday through Thursday from 3:15 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. and provides children — kindergarteners through the fifth graders — with a variety of activities. During the summer months, SHARPkids transitions to SHARPcamp. The camp allows underprivileged Baltimore City students the chance to attend summer camp, an opportunity many would not be able to enjoy were it not for the program.
