Josh Salvaterra of MotorWorld Honda is what we would call a rock star. He is in the top 1% of Honda sales associates in the country, and has continuously held the spot of a top sales associate since he started at MotorWorld almost seven years ago. He was recently honored with Platinum Membership into the 2017 Council of Sales Leadership by American Honda Motor Corporation. Josh is one of only 161 sales associates out of 15,500 to earn membership into this prestigious membership.
The Platinum membership is new to Honda. Previously, the highest membership was Gold, which Josh earned during his first three years at MotorWorld, which led to him earning Gold Masters for the next three years.
Honda honored their 2017 Gold, Gold Masters and Platinum-level associates in a banquet in Atlantic City last April. Being a Platinum level member also earned Josh and his wife a 4-day all-expense paid trip to San Diego!
“I couldn’t have accomplished this membership without my wife’s support, so it’s only fitting she should benefit from the award as well,” Josh said. “[My wife] Holly understands the long hours that are needed to thrive in this business. We have 5 kids still at home, and she does so much for them and for me so I can focus on work as much as possible.”
Josh attributed his success to the MotorWorld leadership, his faith, and his amazing support group within his community.
“Mr. Osick has always been very supportive. Whenever he has a friend or family member who wants a Honda he always thinks of me, and I’m very grateful for that support. Rich and Mike have always provided me with the guidance and support I need to thrive. I truly am blessed by the people in my life. So much of my business is people from my church and the community who buy cars and refer people to me. I have a great customer base that is extremely supportive of me. I sold 48 cars in April which is by far the very best month I’ve ever had. Of those buys about 10 were probably new customers.”
Honda Brand Manager Rich Moore said of Josh, “The thing about Josh is that he’s quite simply a great individual. He’s a great part of the local community and is a role model for the standard of the Honda showroom. He takes great care of the customer and is a top-notch student in terms of product knowledge. I am very proud and honored to be his manager.”
Honda’s Council of Sales Leadership program is a yearlong recognition initiative that promotes professional excellence in sales at dealerships nationwide. The program is designed to increase customer satisfaction through its focus on product knowledge and selling skills. Recognition is given at the Silver, Gold, Gold Master, and Platinum levels.
