Making Strides

Employees across all divisions came out to show their support for the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events.
Every year for the past 11 years, MileOne has joined the American Cancer Society in their annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event. Over the last several years, Hall Automotive and MotorWorld have joined in on the event in their respective areas.
The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Wyoming Valley took place on Saturday, October 15th at Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Team MotorWorld sported a unique shirt that combined the breast cancer awareness ribbon with the iconic Superman symbol, spelling out HEROES on the back of their shirts.
The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Baltimore took place the very next day on Sunday, October 16th at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Center YMCA. More than 5,000 participants from the community came out to support this great event – and our MileOne, Heritage and Silver Spring employees (more than 160!) could not be missed in their bright orange team shirts!
As always, MileOne pulled the winning ticket for the annual vehicle raffle. This year the lucky winner was awarded a 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLA250 SUV.
The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Hampton Roads was the last event of the season, taking place on Saturday, October 22nd at Mt. Trashmore. Hall Automotive participated in the annual vehicle raffle, giving away a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Latitude 4x4 SUV. With more than 100 employees and family members in attendance, Hall sold an additional 137 vehicle raffle tickets the morning of the race!
Thank you to all employees across our divisions that came out to support these events! We appreciate your dedication and commitment to the American Cancer Society.
