Congratulations to the entire team at BMW of Silver Spring! The dealership was recently recognized by BMW for achieving the highest score on the J.D. Power 2015 Initial Quality Study (IQS) in the BMW Northeast Region. The dealership’s score outpaced 93 other BMW dealerships in the region.

The 29-year-old study is an important factor many consumers use when determining the brand of vehicle they are interested in buying. Specifically, the IQS looks at owner-reported problems in the first 90 days of new-vehicle ownership per 100 vehicles sold, based on problems that have caused a complete breakdown or malfunction, or where controls or features may work as designed but are difficult to use or understand.

“Every member of our team plays a critical role in what we do to shape our current and future success,” said BMW of Silver Spring General Manager Michael Fastman. “It starts with the team member that checks a vehicle in when it arrives at the dealership and transitions down the line to those who properly prep the vehicle in service and detail. Ensuring the car is not damaged while in storage becomes just as important as the sales consultant going over the car with a fine tooth comb before presentation to the customer — and fully explaining the functionality of the controls so the customer doesn’t perceive a defect when there isn’t one.
