MileOne Receives Cup of Hope for the 6th Year in a Row
MileOne received the ACS Cup of Hope for the 6th year in a row. The Cup of Hope is awarded to the highest fundraiser in the region. This award was accepted by Melissa Tully, MileOne Corporate Communications Manager, at the Baltimore ACS Kick-Off Reception in August from Tswana Sewell, Executive Director of Community Development in the Northeast Region.
Since 2000, MileOne has raised over $3 million for the American Cancer Society, and specifically for breast cancer research. During that time we have donated a new car every year to support the annual vehicle raffle. This year's winner will receive a new Jeep Renegade. We've hosted events and auctions, sold candy, baked goods and thousands of wall ribbons, organized car shows and worn tu-tus and crowns in our efforts to find a cure for cancer. Last Year, MileOne raised more than $422,000! This year, our goal is to raise at least $450,000 for ACS and, of course, to win the Cup of Hope Award again, for the 7th year in a row.
