MileOne Changes

Noticing some changes with MileOne recently? Make sure you’re not the last to know!

Earlier this year, a decision was made by MileOne to combine Heritage, R&H and Russel into the Baltimore division. This move was initiated to reduce administrative burdens and allow operating teams to focus on driving sales and increasing revenue.

MileOne has also consolidated the accounting department for the Baltimore division. Moving forward, this will provide a standardized platform that supports the company’s operating team while supplying MileOne the flexibility for future growth.

In the past, the daily activities and processes in the dealership accounting offices were targeted to meet the needs of each dealership group. As the Baltimore division grew and management became increasingly centralized, the need to consolidate the accounting function was crucial. This move provides economies of scale and brings together the accounting team in a centralized location to enhance internal communication — and increase opportunities for cross-training and improved accounting controls.

Paul King is overseeing the entire Baltimore division. He first became involved with MileOne while working for Heritage’s outside audit firm in the mid-1990s. In 1998, he officially joined the company working as Allstate Leasing’s chief financial officer. Last year, he joined the automotive side of the business.

“I have been privileged to work with many members of the MileOne organization for nearly two decades,” Paul said. “I look forward to this chance to lead the division while continuing the personal and professional growth opportunities that MileOne affords me."

When Paul gets a break from leading the division, he enjoys spending time with his wife, three daughters and granddaughter.

Best of luck with the move, Paul!
