Earlier this year, Mercedes-Benz rolled out a quick service for its customers nationwide. The service allows for basic maintenance to be completed in an hour or less — without an appointment! Like a racing pit crew, two technicians work simultaneously to get the maintenance done quickly and precisely. The service, Premier Express, was piloted by the company last year and can now be found in MileOne’s Mercedes-Benz dealerships.

To meet the Premier Express certification requirements, the dealerships had to pass through three intense phases of review by Mercedes-Benz. The first step was a two-day assessment that included a walkthrough of the facility, meetings with members of the dealership, and an observation of the service and cashier processes. It also included a comprehensive review of the parts inventory, pricing, pay plans, technician and service advisor profiles, among other items.

The dealerships then had to ace two additional sustainment visits to monitor the dealer’s Premier Express activities and reporting. If the dealership was performing well, it received an official certification status on the third and final visit – which we did!

Judging by the customer comments our Mercedes-Benz dealerships have received thus far, it is apparent the service is a hit! While Premier Express provides enormous benefits to the customer, it also creates advantages for dealerships that qualify to house the service.

“This service is truly the future of our service business growth,” said Mercedes-Benz of Silver Spring Service Manager Joe White. “As the quality of vehicles continues to improve, there will be fewer repairs performed and more maintenance-only visits made by our customers. Making the service-only visits faster and more convenient for our guests improves client satisfaction. Getting more vehicles through the shop daily without increasing alternative transportation expenses is the ultimate goal and key to future growth.”
