How we’re recruiting talented technicians to join the MileOne family.

At MileOne, we work hard to hire top employees throughout the company to ensure our continued success. Hiring technicians has always been a focus of our internal recruiters, but as MileOne continues to expand, so does our staff. To guarantee we are attracting the best talent, we’ve enhanced our communications efforts to increase tech awareness, build strong relationships with technical schools and target technicians at several recent job fairs.

So far in 2016, we’ve attended 11 trade school fairs and three networking events. Courtney Zacharias, MileOne’s Corporate Recruiter, believes attending these job fairs not only has the potential to attract a great number of technicians, but quality ones.

“Going to technical job fairs gives us an opportunity to introduce MileOne directly to the candidate, and explain how we provide a career path – not just a job,” Courtney said. “At a recent job fair in Scranton, PA, students were very excited to see us, because they were specifically studying the automotive trade. They were impressed by MileOne’s flexible schedules and opportunities for continued training.”

We have seen a positive impact from our recruiting efforts in all of divisions; MotorWorld, specifically, has seen an increase in trade school hires, recently adding five service technicians and three collision technicians. Through a recruiting event held earlier this month, our Heritage division was able to meet potential new hires, who are currently in the screening process.

Acquiring valuable employees is the foundation for a successful business. As our mission states, empowered and well-trained employees are able to put our customers’ needs first, and hiring top talent ensures our customers receive top service. Attending job fairs and meeting candidates face-to-face gives MileOne the upper hand in finding that top talent – Courtney put it simply when she said, “the handshake makes the difference every time.”
