2016 MileOne Milestones

Read more to review the great accomplishments MileOne achieved throughout 2016.
2016 proved to be another year of accomplishments. We hit new community outreach goals, brought the R&H and Russel dealerships into the Heritage family and secured new partnerships across our divisions.
The Next Mile
For the 2016 academic year, MileOne awarded 50 students $2,500 toward their enrollment in a university, college and/or trade school for the upcoming academic year through The Next Mile annual scholarship program.
Heritage Automotive
In August, our Russel and R&H dealerships officially changed their name to Heritage Automotive. As you know, for nearly 40 years, the Heritage brand has been synonymous with quality, integrity, exceptional customer service and value. Adding the Russel and R&H dealerships to the Heritage family benefits the entire Baltimore division.
Heritage Automotive & Baltimore Ravens Partnership
Heritage Automotive and the Baltimore Ravens have joined in a 5-year partnership, beginning with the 2016-2017 season. We are proud to be the official automotive partner of the Baltimore Ravens, a staple in the community where our Heritage and many MileOne employees live and work.
Workday Launch
The HR and MIS teams successfully launched the new Workday Workforce Management system, a user friendly online Human Resources Management tool, which you all were introduced to during the 2017 benefits enrollment period. Keep an eye out in 2017 as new functionality of Workday, such as payroll, will be launched.
Community Outreach
- This year, our annual American Cancer Society (ACS) campaign raised more than $400,000 – a new all-time record. We could not have done this without the help and commitment from each and every one of you. Thank you to all of our ACS champions across our divisions and those that participated in the annual Making Strides against Breast Cancer events!
- Heritage Toyota Catonsville and the Ellicott City Partnership joined together to develop the “On the Road” relief grant program to provide financial support to 43 individuals located within the Ellicott City historic district who lost their vehicles in the July 30th flood.
- For the third year in a row, Hall Automotive partnered with Cox Media, Geico and Drive Smart Virginia to present the “No 2 Distracted Driving” campaign. Also this year, Hall Automotive Body & Paint Shop agreed to repair two donated vehicles to local military families through the Recycled Rides program. Hall Automotive recruited their own collision repairers, paint suppliers, parts vendors, business partners and more to help contribute and mobilize those in need.
- MotorWorld Toyota donated $15,000 to the Wilkes-Barre Police Department to help the K9 unit secure a new police dog.
Thank you all for your hard work and dedication in contributing to these wonderful milestones.
