Gabriel Sarecky - MileOne's 2016 Next Mile Scholarship Recipient

As a student at Sherwood High School in Maryland, Gabriel received the President’s Education Award, provided to students whose outstanding efforts have enabled them to meet challenging standards of excellence. If that recognition wasn’t enough, he was also awarded the Certificate of Meritorious Service for accumulating more than 260 hours of service during his senior year of high school.  

Gabriel decided to stay local and currently attends the University of Maryland, where he studies mechanical engineering and plans to graduate in May 2019. In his free time, Gabriel works as a camp counselor and enjoys playing piano and tennis. His father, Edward, is the General Manager of Herb Gordon Volvo and Herb Gordon Subaru.
