Update on Workday Transition

Thank you for your patience and enthusiasm during the past year as we have diligently transitioned all of our HR workforce management to Workday. By April 2018 we will have 100% of our human resource procedures in Workday.

Workday workforce management system has many benefits:

  1. One system of record for all employees across all divisions.
  2. All of your daily HR interactions –Payroll and Timekeeping, for example – can be found on one easy to use dashboard.
  3. All benefits can be completed in one place and then automatically sent to the proper vendor – no more paperwork!
  4. Everything about your employment can be documented, observed and updated in one location.
  5. Paperless interactions and automated email communications.

Since November 2016, here is what we’ve accomplished together:

November 2016 – Workday Human Resource Core Management went live!

  • Introduced benefit open enrollment, employee self-service for new hire onboarding, personal data storage for all HR-related documents
  • Integrated with all vendors to send benefit data on an electronic manner in a weekly basis, which saved our payroll department and MileOne as a company both time and money

March-July 2017 - Timekeeping went live for all corporate, MotorWorld and Hall employees

April 2017 - all corporate employees converted to Workday Payroll

October 2017 – MotorWorld Payroll went live

December 2017 – Heritage and Herb Gordon/Silver Spring/Annapolis Timekeeping began on Workday

Here is what you can look forward to in 2018:

On January 1st all of Maryland employees (Heritage and Herb Gordon/Silver Spring/Annapolis) will be live on Workday Payroll. Hall will be completed by the end of Q1.

We will also focus on streamlining Workday procedures and operations for managers. In turn, managers will have more time to focus on the sales and service needs at the dealership.

Thank you for making the Workday project a success!
